Scammers caught – promised profit: women poorer by 50,000 euros

A local scammer (35) fell victim to three women. He pulled around 50,000 euros out of their pockets and promised big profits from trading deals. After she still didn’t see any of the money, one of the women, who comes from Zirl (Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land), went to the police.

The suspected perpetrator started the fraud on December 21, 2021. “Until June 27 of the previous year, he received a total of around 50,000 euros from three Austrian women for trading transactions in order to make profits for them,” reports the police. In the summer, one of the three financiers demanded their investments back. Dubious excuse, victim went to the police “The suspect stated that his accounts were frozen by the financial police and that he had no access to the money. Since the 35-year-old has not made any repayment to date, the woman went to the police and filed a complaint. Further investigations are still ongoing.
