Even though the superhero character she plays is popular, Scarlett Johansson (38) is apparently not sure whether she will appear on the big screen again as Black Widow or Natasha Romanoff. At least that’s what she suggests in conversations with Savannah Guthrie (51) and Al Roker (69) from the US show “Today”. When asked about rumors that Johansson might reprise the role of Black Widow after the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” the Hollywood star explains: “I think it was the end, right?”

“It would be a real Marvel miracle”

Beware, spoilers: When asked by GuthrieWhen asked whether Black Widow had died, the actress stated firmly: “That’s her. She’s deceased.” But could the character still return and be revived? “It would be a miracle,” says Johansson. “It would be a real Marvel miracle. […] But who knows? I’m not sure.”

Whether there could be “a resurrection” Roker also asks. Johansson replies: “Like a loophole? I feel like that’s kind of the end, right? Can you come back? Could it be like a vampire version of the character?” She would obviously like that – and she’s not averse to a zombie version either.

Have there already been discussions?

Johansson does not want to reveal whether there have already been discussions about a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She explains evasively, “You really ask the hard questions. I feel like I have to tell you, but actually I don’t have to tell you, Al. I don’t have to, but I want to so badly.” Johansson is likely to encourage rumors of a Black Widow comeback with this vague answer.
