If you found that DOOM and DOOM Eternal weren’t nervous enough, Damage State and kwalee have the solution, and it’s called Scathe. The title is a FPS that takes us straight to Hell to shoot a bunch of demonsbut the game falls into the category of bullet hellwith showers of bullets (to shoot and dodge).
Scathe was expected this year on computers and home consoles, but it is currently only available on PCand only through Steam. He will arrive on theEpic Games Store during the week, then playstation and Xbox early next year. Here is an overview of the game:
Scathe is an intense classic FPS packed with big guns and bigger demons. You play as Scathe, an enforcer of the Legions of Hell, fashioned in the earth by the divine Creator Himself. Like your fellows, fallen in battle before you, you will have to prove your worth by crossing a tortuous maze whose every corner is full of evil demons. Wield the Hammer of the Underworld and unleash the omnipotence of your fury!
Use Scathe’s brute force and prodigious speed to slay Hell’s most loathsome abominations, find the Hellstones, and slay the fearsome guardians that guard them.
It’s time to bring out the heavy artillery and get out of this hellhole!
ESCAPE THE LABYRINTH
Your mission is simple: find the Hellstones and escape the maze. It’s up to you to choose your path in the “handmade” areas of this maze, each with its own set of dangers. Collect runes, unlock the secrets of the labyrinth and punish any monsters that dare to stand in your way.
A REAL BULLET HELL
Scathe is not an FPS like the others… Take part in fierce clashes like bullet hell on a battlefield saturated with deadly ammo and hordes of demons. With the prodigious speed of Scathe, weave your way right through your opponents and their bullets.
FULL OF AMMUNITION
Devastate the enemy ranks with Scathe’s frighteningly powerful arsenal, each of his weapons being equipped with a devastating secondary fire mode. Spread the flames of Hell with your Burner or arm yourself with the Arbalame to slice through your countless enemies.
DROP IN/DROP OUT ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
Scathe will support online and cross-play multiplayer game sessions that players can join or leave at any time. Have you ever lost your way in the maze? Up to three of your friends can join you in battle. Be sure to choose your companions wisely though, because in Scathe everyone shares the same lives.
HARNESS THE POWER OF BLACK MAGIC
Scour the underworld for ancient relics and harness the evil powers of fallen mages. Recharge your arcane energy by crushing your enemies to cast devastating spells. Heal yourself, summon minions, and wreak havoc on the Legions of Hell.
