Released in May 2021, Scavengers had the potential to become a good little game, mixing PvP and PvE. While the experience wasn’t anything new, the gameplay was quite fun, all set in a freezing environment that was fun to navigate. Scavengers will soon no longer be available
Unfortunately, in the face of competition and the multitude of games available, developers have failed to retain players. Midwinter Entertainment tried to reignite interest with a few updates, but nothing helped, players fled Scavengers. The studio therefore realized the obvious, by announcing the end of Scavengers, believing that the development cost was no longer profitablevia a message on its official website.
Thereby, from December 16, 2022, it will no longer be possible to play Scavengers, since the servers will close on that date. However, if you are nostalgic, you can take a last look. As a reminder, a console version was in test at the end of 2021, but it will therefore never see the light of day. Midwinter Entertainment was recently acquired by Behavior Interactive (Dead by Daylight), and will soon unveil its new production which will hopefully be more successful.
