M6 has just revealed the identity of the actors who will play the new couple who should soon make their debut in “Scènes de Ménages”, the channel’s flagship humorous pastille.
To celebrate the new year as it should be, M6 has just revealed the face of the new couple who will soon make their debut in Scènes de Ménages. After Claudia Mongumu and Ryad Baxx (Louise and Jalil), who arrived in September 2021, it is Fanny Cottençon and Didier Bénureau who will join the cast of the daily series of 6.
The first will play Christine, an attractive middle-class sexagenarian, while the second will slip into the skin of her new companion, Gilbert, a very awkward and somewhat stingy retired worker. A duo which should breathe a breath of fresh air into the series which blew its thirteenth birthday this year.
The face of Fanny Cottençon is perhaps not unknown to you, since the actress won the César for best supporting actress in 1983 for the film L’Etoile du Nord by Pierre Granier-Deferre. Recently, she played Marie-Ange Wagner in the César Wagner series. For his part, Didier Bénureau is a comedian and actor that we have seen in particular in Marianne or Candice Renoir.
The latter also had a real crush on the character of Gilbert. “What can Gilbert be stupid, and me, it amuses me so much… Christine is more delicate, more sore. He doesn’t understand everything, but he’s quite touching”, he confided to our colleagues from Télé Loisirs. ”This character spoke to me a lot, it was quite easy to immerse myself in it“.
For Fanny Cottençon, on the other hand, accepting the role was not obvious. “It happened over time… I liked the basic idea, I like Christine’s fantasy. She’s tired of propriety, of always behaving well, especially with men, because she’s had quite a few in her life… She wants to get rid of all that. But they will continue to evolve“, she explained.
The most seasoned fans of Scènes de Ménages will however have noticed that this is not the first time that Fanny Cottençon has appeared in the series. The actress had indeed participated in the bonus “Finally in the mountains!”, broadcast in January 2017 on M6.
She played Agnès, the wife of Christian, a wealthy real estate developer played by Thierry Lhermitte. “I had a lot of fun”, she recalls. “It’s an exercise that seemed to me very demanding but very funny and effective. And I know the series well, it makes me laugh a lot!“
