Schladming Slalom Alpine Skiing: Clément Noël 3rd in the first run, Pinturault out

Starting with bib number 5, Clément Noël was beaten 67/100 by the Swede Kristoffer Jakobsen and by the Italian Giuliano Razzoli (58/100 from Jakobsen).

“It’s nice skiing, which can allow you to do better because there is a good technical base, appreciated Noël. The track is super good to ski, it’s a treat, the layout was very nice, it allows you to jump. I could have sent myself more, like Jakobsen did. »

Norwegian Lucas Braathen, winner of the Wengen slalom ten days ago and 2nd in Kitzbühel on Saturday, is tied with the Frenchman.

Alexis Pinturault was trapped by his coach’s layout and will not score a point for the fourth time in six slaloms this winter.

“Retirements in slalom are far from obvious, it does not allow me to build on confidence. Without confidence I feel less liberated when I ski, I am less able to take risks,” he lamented.

Round two is scheduled for 8:45 p.m.
