Schlager parries penalty – Austria dominates Salzburg, but doesn’t win

Gerhard Struber (Salzburg coach): “It was the tough opponent we expected. We knew that Austria was riding a certain wave of euphoria and was very compact and clear in its processes. It was important for us to invest today. We wanted to go ‘all in’ again after a difficult game during the week. But we have not succeeded in taking control, in exerting dominance, as we should have. After 15 minutes we lost the thread and Austria took over the momentum. We fought back, but we needed a strong Alexander Schlager.”
