If a product is “homeopathically compatible”, this refers to the ingredients and possible interactions.
The term “homoeopathy compatible” refers to the ingredients in the toothpaste. It’s about the “Candida PH control” from Migros. And if you combine homeopathy with nature, you could quickly draw the wrong conclusions – as our listener suspected: It doesn’t mean that there are only natural ingredients in this toothpaste. The “homeopathically compatible” rather refers to the combination of this product, i.e. the toothpaste, with homeopathic medicines.

No special toothpaste needed
“In this case, it means that the toothpaste does not contain any menthol,” says Gisela Etter, President of the Swiss Association of Homeopathic Doctors. “Certain homeopathic medicines can be weakened in their effect if the patient comes into contact with strong essential oils,” the homeopath continues. This includes menthol, for example.
When it comes to homeopathy, opinions differ. But if you believe in the effect of these medicines, you should be careful when choosing toothpaste. Gisela Etter says, however, that a special toothpaste is not actually needed. The toothpaste should simply not taste too strongly of menthol.
Migros writes that it is additional information: “Especially when you are unsure whether another toothpaste smells ‘too strong’ of menthol/mint.” Other manufacturers also offer homeopathy-compatible toothpastes.
