A washing machine is an imposing appliance. Even if manufacturers have long since released models whose width does not exceed 40 cm and 60 cm deep, they still require a lot of space to be installed, space which you do not necessarily benefit from if you live in a very small space like a studio, motorhome or boat. Schneider plans to remedy this problem with the SCLL270MINI, a very small washing machine 55 cm wide but only 32 cm deep that can be fixed to the wall. Inside, the volume of the small drum only reaches 16 litres, which limits the weight of the laundry load to just 2.5 kg; we therefore automatically forget the SCLL270MINI to wash large pieces of laundry such as terrycloth towels, sheets or duvets.
Despite its small size, the Schneider SCLL270MINI does not lack advantages. Thus it is equipped with a brushless motor, presented as more solid and less energy-consuming than conventional models. Thanks to this motorization, the drum can reach a maximum rotation speed of 700 rpm for spinning, which should be enough to remove the humidity from the small load of laundry without damaging the wall on which the washing machine is. laundry will be fixed. The brushless motor is also very discreet, and the manufacturer announces a noise of 55 dB (A) during washing and 70 dB (A) during spinning. Good point, the high temperatures are not forgotten and you can serenely entrust some bibs or some baby clothes to the SCLL270MINI so that it washes them at 90°C: a program for this purpose is also planned. Schneider has also thought of an anti-unbalance system to avoid damaging the drum shaft.
Unlike standard washing machines, the control panel is located under the door. This does not include any wheel and consists exclusively of sensitive keys. Apart from program selection, it also allows you to set a few options such as a delayed start or easy ironing.
The Schneider SCLL270MINI will be available from September for €700.
