The Oberalmer comes from a well-known family. After all, mom Karin Köllerer and dad Atle Skaardal skied in the Alpine ski circuit for many years. “Sure: I would be lying if I said it wasn’t an advantage somewhere. “They know well how things work in sport and that pressure from home makes no sense,” says Niklas, who can always rely on his parents. But he also adds: “It’s not like I don’t have to go exactly the same way as everyone else. So it’s probably neither a real advantage nor a disadvantage.”
