Scooter Braun says goodbye to his role as music manager. After 23 years in this role, it is now over.

Scooter Braun (42) has made a name for himself as a music manager over the past two decades. His famous clients have included stars such as Justin Bieber (30), Ariana Grande (30), David Guetta (56), Demi Lovato (31), Carly Rae Jepsen (38) and Psy (46). But now it is officially over. Braun says goodbye in a long statement about this job.

From small beginnings to superstars

“23 years. That’s how long I worked as a music manager,” Braun writes on Instagram. At the age of just 19, he first took on this role in Atlanta for an artist named Cato “and my journey began,” the now 42-year-old recalls. Along the way, he experienced many things he could never have dreamed of – a life similar to that of “Forrest Gump,” he writes. After 23 years, however, “this chapter as a music manager has now come to an end.”

He said that his entire adult life was spent working as a talent manager 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which he loved for 20 years. However, as his children grew up and he experienced setbacks in his personal life, he realized that his kids were “three superstars” that he did not want to lose. He could no longer justify the sacrifices he was once willing to make. In the future, he will be working as the head of the company Hybe America, among other things. His role as a father comes first, that of CEO comes second, and that of music manager will no longer exist.

Scooter Braun does not want to retire completely

Although he has decided to retire as a talent manager, he still wants to help his former clients: “For those I have worked with over the years, I have nothing but love. And as we develop another working relationship, I will always be there to offer advice and support, whether directly or remotely.” Braun also talks about many of his stars in the article. “Watching them both grow into the legends they are today will forever be one of my greatest honors,” he writes about Bieber and Grande, with whom he worked when they were young.
