Scott Eastwood: Too big of a foot as the son of Clint Eastwood?

Is it too hard for legend Clint Eastwood's son in the dream factory? Scott Eastwood does not want to make the big breakthrough.

The internationally successful acting career somehow does not want to set in with Scott Eastwood (34), the son of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood (90, "Gran Torino"). He has been in front of the camera since 2006, in addition to action films, sometimes making love puckers or twisting pop star Taylor Swift (30) in her video for the song "Wildest Dreams". But the big breakthrough has so far failed to materialize.

Only a few leading roles for Scott Eastwood

Scott Eastwood comes from an affair between his famous father and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves (68). Scott Eastwood was born in 1986, his sister Kathryn (32) followed two years later. The parents never marry and they don't stay together. Scott Eastwood has six other half-siblings in addition to Kathryn.

Scott Eastwood made his first appearance in front of the camera in 2006 in the war film "Flags of Our Fathers", directed by Papa Clint. At that time he still used the name Scott Reeves. From 2009 it will be listed under the famous surname. Papa Clint also hired him for supporting roles in "Gran Torino" (2008) and "Invictus – Unbekwungen" (2009). In the sports drama "Back in the Game" (2012) Scott Eastwood even plays alongside his famous father.

Scott Eastwood takes on bigger roles in "Texas Chainsaw 3D" (2013) and "Heart of Steel" (2014). He plays the main role in the Nicholas Sparks film adaptation "No place without you" (2015) as well as in "Diablo" (2015) and "Mercury Plains" (2016). This was followed by smaller appearances in "Snowden" (2016) and in "Suicide Squad" (2016). In 2017 he made his debut in the "Fast & Furious" series. In the eighth part, he embodies Eric Reisner and Little Nobody. With "Overdrive" he stays true to auto action. In 2018 he was the last time to be seen on the big screen in "Pacific Rim: Uprising".

His new film "The Outpost" was supposed to premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Texas in 2020. Due to the corona pandemic, the festival was canceled. Instead, "The Outpost" was released in the USA via video-on-demand and in isolated cinemas. Sott Eastwood stars alongside Caleb Landry Jones (30) and Orlando Bloom (43). The war film is based on the book "The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor" by Jake Tapper (51). It is about the Battle of Kamdesh, one of the most devastating in the Afghanistan war. The reviews are consistently positive.
