The discourse has changed significantly. Two weeks ago, Neve Campbell said without weighing too much that there would certainly be other Scream films in the future. Today, while the brand new opus in the saga has started off nicely at the US box office, Sidney Prescott’s interpreter is going further, being very enthusiastic about the idea of resuming his role for a sixth time.
“I would love to come back”, declares at the microphone of The Hollywood Reporter Neve Campbell, who however sets a condition for a new return to Woodsboro. “The story has to be strong, it depends on that. I will only make a new film if the script is good. (…) What was done with the Scream that just came out is really good, so I’m curious to see what might happen next. We’ll see.”
The new installment of the Scream saga, which sees the return of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette as well as the arrival of a new band of teenagers to face the terrible Ghostface, is currently in theaters.
