A not yet titled reboot of the horror film series "Scream" is to come to the cinema. Fans will have to wait until the beginning of 2022.
The new edition of the horror film series "Scream" is still a long time coming. As has now been announced, the planned reboot will not be released until January 14, 2022. This is reported by the US trade journal "Variety".
Who is there?
Familiar faces will be featured in the film, which has not yet been officially titled. "Friends" star Courteney Cox (56, Gale Weathers) confirmed on Instagram at the end of July that she would be there again. US media had previously reported that her ex-husband, David Arquette (48), would return to his role as Sheriff Dewey Riley. He recently advocated that the leading actress from the original, Neve Campbell (46, Sidney Prescott), should also appear again. Most recently the media said that it should at least be in negotiations.
"Scream" mastermind Wes Craven will unfortunately have no influence on the new edition. The horror legend died in Los Angeles in the summer of 2015 from complications from a brain tumor at the age of 76.
