Seal windows afterwards: This is how you save even more on heating

who one quick and inexpensive solution seeks for whom are suitable self-adhesive sealing tapes. These are provided with an adhesive on one side. So all you have to do is peel off the insulating paper strip and you can attach the tape immediately. The only tools you need are scissors or a carpet knife. Tip: Thoroughly clean the areas to be pasted beforehand.

There are universal seals on the market, but they have the disadvantage that they are relatively expensive and often do not sit well on the window edges. Therefore, it is advisable to deal with the right size of the window seal in advance. Window seals are divided into so-called profiles: P, E and D profiles. If you’re unsure of the density you need, remove an old piece and have the hardware store determine it. Alternatively, you can measure yourself by measuring the piece you cut off on graph paper.

When buying window seals, you should also consider the length you need. Sealing tape rolls are available in lengths of 5, 6, 8 or 10 meters.

In the following tables we present well-rated window seals with different profiles.
