Samsung is releasing a series of new Galaxy Book 4 series notebooks in January. As part of this, the manufacturer is now releasing new software for Windows with which Galaxy cell phones can be seamlessly integrated into the PC.

According to Gizmochina, the new phone app for Windows allows, among other things, to make calls, write messages or receive notifications. Transferring files is also possible. With the software it is no longer necessary to switch back and forth between devices.

The phone app does not mirror the smartphone, but rather offers direct access to it. You have access to the gallery, contacts or notes from your desktop PC or laptop. This should also ensure better multitasking when both devices interact.

However, there are limitations: The use of the phone app is apparently reserved for devices from the Galaxy Book 4 series and PCs with Intel processors. It is unclear whether Samsung will lift this restriction in the future. By introducing such software, the manufacturer is competing with Apple and thus ensuring a better comprehensive ecosystem.
