Sean “Diddy” Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided. The reason for this is the accusation of human trafficking.

On March 25th, emergency services from the US Homeland Security agency went to rappers’ houses Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, deployed in Los Angeles and Miami. The unit searched the homes on suspicion of human trafficking. The musician himself was not there, but was seen taking a walk at Miami Airport.

The villas were searched in two separate and large-scale raids. “TMZ” wrote that federal agents reached the house in Los Angeles with helicopters. Investigators examined the properties in LA and Miami and led some people out. Local station FOX11 showed aerial footage of Combs’ two sons, Justin Combs, 30, and Christian “King” Combs, 25, standing handcuffed outside their Beverly Hills home and talking to officers. The rapper was apparently not at home but was spotted at Miami-Opa Locka Airport after his private jet reportedly landed in Antigua.

Suspicion of human trafficking

The raid by Homeland Security Investigations was part of a federal investigation into “human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation,” it said. Combs, who also faces rape charges, has been accused of sex trafficking in several court cases. NBC News reported that federal officials have already interviewed three women and one man about sex trafficking allegations. “We will provide additional information as it becomes available,” a Homeland Security Investigations representative said in a statement to People. “Hopefully this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs accountable for his depraved behavior,” said Douglas Wigdor, an attorney for two women who have each previously filed lawsuits against Combs.

Serious allegations against the rapper

Various investigations are underway against the rapper due to serious allegations. Most recently, a man claimed to have been sexually abused by the music billionaire. Music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones alleged in a lawsuit that he was coerced by Combs into recruiting numerous prostitutes and having sex with them in front of the star for his pleasure. Combs also regularly touched him in intimate places. That is why he is demanding damages of 30 million US dollars (approx. 38 million euros).

Combs is also accused of raping a then 17-year-old high school student along with two other men. The woman claims she was the victim of a gang rape in 2003. She was given drugs and alcohol and taken on a private jet to New York, where the alleged assault occurred in a studio. Another woman who appeared in some of his music videos claims she was drugged and then raped by the rapper in New York in 1991. In total, four women have accused him of sexual assault. In a statement to People, the rapper flatly denied all allegations made against him: “For the past few weeks, I have sat in silence and watched as people attempted to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy.”
