Search for accomplices – Red-handed shoplifter caught by police

Tuesday afternoon officers from the police station in Gleisdorf arrested a shoplifter. The 30-year-old was taken to the Graz-Jakomini prison.

At around 4 p.m., a grocery store employee called the police and said she saw shoplifters in the store. The alarmed patrols from the Gleisdorf Police Inspectorate then went to the shop. On site, a 30-year-old from Graz was caught red-handed by the officials during an attempted shoplifting inspection. The officials arrested the man. The other two suspects, a male and a female, could not be found. An immediately initiated search was negative. After further investigations by the officials, it was determined that the same perpetrators had already committed a theft in the same shop at the beginning of December. There was damage in the lower four-digit range. The goods from the attempted theft on December 13 remained in the store. The 30-year-old confessed and was taken to the Graz-Jakomini prison on time.
