Searches for flights to London from the US increase after Queen Elizabeth’s death


Within an hour of the news of the Queen’s death, searches for flights to London from the US spiked 49% from the previous day, according to the company.

It comes at a time when the pound sterling is weak against the dollar, making Britain an attractive tourist destination for people traveling from the United States.

Searches for flights from around the world to London airports jumped 40% from the day before, and 41% from the three hours before the news of the Queen’s death was announced, according to Hopper.
