A few weeks before the release of season 4, Amazon has already formalized a season 5 for its original series The Boys. A season 2 of Mr. & Mrs. Smith was also commissioned.
A few days ago, Amazon Prime Video revealed the release date for season 4 of The Boys. The original production of the video streaming platform will return on June 13, in a little less than a month. Three episodes will be released on this date, then we will have one episode per week until July 18, 2024, for a total of eight episodes.
Confident about the success of one of its most popular series, Amazon has already confirmed the renewal of The Boys for a season 5. In a press release, Amazon MGM Studios is delighted with the audience for the series, “unapologetic and bold, which continues to captivate our customers around the world […] season after season”.

Eric Kripke demonstrates his enthusiasm to continue the adventure. “What other series allows me to write about politics, capitalism, family while exploding genitals”jokes the showrunner of The Boys. “My only problem is that since this year promises to be without conflict or misinformation, we don’t really know what to write”he quips, as the next American presidential election approaches and against a backdrop of conflict in Ukraine and Gaza.

In season four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscular thumb of Homelander, who consolidates his power. With the stakes higher than ever, they must find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.
Today, we also learned that season 2 of Rings of Power will arrive on Prime Video on August 29, 2024. Surprise, the excellent series Mr. & Mrs. Smith was renewed for a season 2 following the success of the first episodes. A live action Tomb Raider series is also in the works.
