While Netflix delighted fans with the possibility of season 6, it may well be that lead actor Tom Ellis jeopardizes this project.

Last February, we announced that Lucifer could have a good chance of having a season 6 when we were previously convinced that season 5 would indeed be the last. Netflix seemed to be ready to save the phenomenon series. Unfortunately, hopes are reportedly weakening now, according to the latest information from TVLine. If the contracts of the showrunners and certain actors were extended in the hope of shooting a sixth season, it would seem that this is not the case with Tom Ellis, pinricpal interpreter of the series. According to the sources of TVLine, the actor would disagree with the production and would have rejected the last offer he received. The renegotiations between the production and the actor are therefore, for the moment, on hold.

According to the sources of TVLine, Warner Bros. would have tried to make various proposals to the actor to improve his contract, without success. Each time, Tom Ellis would have refused. Now the production refuses a renegotiation. Warner Bros and Netflix declined to comment on the rumors. For the moment, it is therefore difficult to know where the season 6 projects are at for Lucifer. The suspense has never been so unbearable. Indeed, without Tom Ellis, it becomes difficult to envisage or imagine a sequel to Lucifer. The source close to TVLine would have said: "Everyone wants Tom to be happy. But there is a limit, and it has been crossed. "

It's a story that remains to be followed … In any case, no official announcement has yet been made. The mystery therefore remains intact. We can take comfort while waiting for season 5 of Lucifer which should arrive on the Netflix platform during 2020. No date has yet been announced, so we'll have to be patient a bit more.
