Season 7 is coming to Rocket League

Following the new 2.16 update, Rocket League Season 7 is coming and with it, many changes, especially for personalized training!

Rocket League launched its 2.16 patch on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series this June 15. This update is the first of season 7 which sees the arrival of a new model of car, the “Maestro» as well as a new version of the arena Golden Utopia Coliseum!

Who says new season, says new Rocket Pass! The Season 7 Rocket Pass is filled with new cosmetics like Sushi Roller wheels or the Aquarium player banner. New challenges are also available. Personalized training has the right to a plethora of improvements such as an improvement in the interface or the addition of a history of your training sessions!

GUIDING LINES


  • v2.16 prepares Rocket League for Season 7

    • Season 7 will begin on June 15, 2022 at 3 p.m.
    • Additional patches detailing Season 7 will be available before the season begins.

CHANGES AND UPDATES


Custom Workout Updates


  • To learn more about the changes to Custom Training, click here.
  • You can now perform moves in a practice pack in any order you want.
  • Training Pack progress is now included in game save data.
  • You can reset the progress of any Training Pack (see Pause Menu Changes below).
  • New orders:

    • Next Shot and Previous Shot: Switch freely between shots in a practice pack.
    • Select shot: Hold down to bring up a new drop-down menu that lets you choose which shot from the pack you want to practice.
    • Mix the shots: Randomizes the order of the moves (press again to return to the initial order).
    • shooting mirror: Return a shot to the opposite side of the arena. The mirror works on all arenas currently available in custom training.

  • To view and edit custom workout controls:

    • Load into a custom workout pack
    • Go to Settings -> Controls -> View/Edit Bindings.
    • Scroll all the way down, and you’ll see the new entries.

  • The “History” tab has been added to the custom training menu.
  • New options have been added to the custom workout pause menu.

    • Reset progress
    • End of training

  • Workout End Screen: From this screen, you can return to the pack, switch to another game mode, change training packs or return to the main menu.

    • This screen appears the first time you fire all shots in a practice pack and each time you fire all shots in a pack after resetting progress.
    • This screen does not appear automatically if you are using a training pack that has already been completed and its progress has not been reset.


Painted items


  • Sort by Paintings: You can now sort customization items by paint in the Car Customization and Inventory Management menus.

  • Golden paint: ‘Gold’ has been added as a painted color attribute, available on some customization items.


General


  • Much like the new shooting controls in Custom Training, ball controls in Freeplay now display in the top left corner at all times.
  • Popups are now disabled by default when involving Blueprints, Credits, Drops, or Tournament Credits.

BUGS FIXES


  • Fixed a bug allowing players to exit 1v1 Competitive Duels prematurely (before 90 seconds) without receiving a matchmaking ban.
  • Fixed positioning of in-game voice chat notifications
  • Fixed a focus issue in the friends list when navigating through the reports/blocks list.
  • [PS, Switch, Xbox] Fixed a rare bug that allowed spectators to access certain matches online and place them on the pitch.

    • This issue has been fixed on PC in v2.15.

  • Fixed a bug with the credits pop-up after completing a trade.
  • Fixed several bugs with the appearance of text on the bulletin board.
  • Fixed appearance of Shark Tooth decal on Jager 619.
  • Fixed the Joker sticker on the Dominus so that it no longer affects the color of the painted trim.
  • Fixed the appearance of the MG-88 sticker on Endo.
  • The voice chat window for new users no longer blocks controller input.
  • Fixed the post-game scoreboard so that the MVP player name is not cut off.
  • Fixed a bug causing a player’s rank to display as unranked on the post-match scoreboard.


KNOWN ISSUES

  • [Entraînement personnalisé] The HUD does not update automatically when you change controls.
  • [Entraînement personnalisé] Some shots may not reflect correctly.
  • [Entraînement personnalisé] Replay may show that the car was moved in the field after a shot was reflected.
  • Some boosts may be partially visible to split-screen players even if not actively used.
  • Sometimes the lightning bolt animation above a car does not trigger when a player switches teams.
  • The “Boujee” animated sticker is off center on some car bodies.
  • The “Sizzled” sticker is listed as an “Animated” sticker when it is not.
  • For new players only, if you exit the RL intro cinematic, the main menu car and grass will be hidden until you enter the Garage.
  • Some Blueprint tiles may disappear when quickly switching between tabs.
  • When you are replaced by a real player, bot names may not disappear from the bulletin board.
