(CercleFinance.com) – Seb announced Thursday evening that it had finalized the acquisition of Sofilac, a French company specializing in the manufacture of high-end cooking equipment.
In a press release, the household appliances group specifies that the operation is part of its strategy consisting of becoming a key player in the professional equipment markets.
Created at the end of the 18th century, Sofilac produces professional and semi-professional ‘premium’ cooking equipment, notably under the Lacanche and Charvet brands.
Present in more than 45 countries around the world, the company has an annual turnover of 62 million euros for a workforce of 360 employees.
Seb explains that Sofilac will now be able to rely on the strength of its group, in France and internationally, in order to accelerate its development.
