Sébastien Chenu: “Jean-Luc Mélenchon does not choose between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, but wants to become Prime Minister”

“Jean-Luc Mélenchon does not choose between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, but wants to become the Prime Minister of one of the two, it’s a bit inconsistent,” said Sébastien Chenu, spokesperson for the RN candidate at the presidential election and guest of the morning of CNEWS this Wednesday.

A frank spade addressed to the leader of LFI, who came third in the first round (with 21.95%), and who on Tuesday invited the French to mobilize for the legislative elections, considered the “third round” of the presidential election.

“I ask the French to elect me Prime Minister”, he said on BFM TV, indicating also that in the event of accession to Matignon, he would implement the measures appearing in his presidential program. Sébastien Chenu believes that through recent statements, Jean-Luc Mélenchon “rightly puts Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen on the same level, both Republicans”.

The hypothesis of cohabitation is largely based on Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s ability to unite the rest of the main left parties around LFI. It is in this sense that the Insoumis recently called on EELV, the PCF and the NPA to rally behind their program. Regarding the PS, the situation seems less obvious since despite the appeal of the foot launched by Olivier Faure, the leader of La France Insoumise refuses for the moment to discuss with the Socialists.
