Seche Environnement: The Montauban Mo’UVE incineration plant is awarded triple ISO environment, health and safety and energy certification

Since January 1, 2021, when Séché Environnement took over the activities of the Sirtomad waste treatment plant, Mo’UVE has embarked on an ambitious quality approach, recognized in less than a year by obtaining a triple certification of all activities, on environmental subjects (ISO 14001), health and safety at work (ISO 45001), and energy (ISO 50001). The implementation of quality systems, in less than 12 months, testifies to the dynamism and commitment of the teams. They will thus have a solid base for the deployment of future equipment that will make the existing plant a unit with high energy and environmental performance.

Since January 1, 2021, Séché Environnement, through its dedicated subsidiary Mo’UVE, has taken over the reins of the operation of the waste treatment plant. household waste Sirtomad, Waste Treatment Syndicate for the territory of Greater Montauban Agglomeration Community and Terres des Confluences (Tarn-et-Garonne / 120,000 inhabitants) as part of a Public Service Delegation. Already certified ISO50001 for energy issues since March 2021, Mo’UVE obtained two other certifications issued by AFNOR on December 22, theISO14001 and ISO 45,0001.

Among the strengths particularly noted by the auditors:

• the organization of the regulatory watch, guarantee of the conformity of activities for all interested parties,

• the planning exhaustive list of actions,

• the integration of future equipment.

They also praised the work accomplished by the teams in such a short time, given the complexity and industrial nature of the site’s activities.

These certifications form a solid foundation for major modernization works which will start soon. These will make it possible to sustain and increase the waste recovery of the territory within Mo’UVE, by significantly increasing its electricity and heat production capacity for the district heating network.
