Second division – tail light Kapfenberg defeats Young Violets

The bottom of the table Kapfenberg SV won on Saturday in the 2nd soccer league. The Upper Styrians beat the penultimate Young Violets 4:2 in front of their own audience and are now only three points behind the young Austrians. SKU Amstetten drew 3-3 at home against FC Dornbirn after being 3-1 down.

In the basement duel in Kapfenberg, the Young Violets made it 1-0 thanks to Florian Fischerauer (8th). But then the tail light turned around – David Heindl (20th), Mark Grosse (40th), Mario Grgic (64th) and Mohamed Kone (85th) fixed the third win of the season for KSV. The second Young Violets goal by Martin Pecar (88th), who saw yellow-red immediately afterwards, was only a cosmetic result. Dornbirner took the lead in Amstetten with a penalty converted by Gustavo Balotelli (6th). After Stefan Urlaub equalized with a penalty (32′), a double strike from Sebastian Santin (36′, 70′) brought the supposed decision in favor of the guests. Two goals from Sebastian Leimhofer (74′, 90′) gave the Lower Austrians a point. Dornbirn, outnumbered after Stefan Goldnagl was excluded from the 76th minute, is still tenth, Amstetten is in eighth place. The 17th round will end on Sunday with the duel between Sturm Graz II and SKN St. Pölten. With a win, the Lower Austrians would once again take the lead from Blau-Weiss Linz, who had won 4-0 at Vorwarts Steyr on Friday.
