Second phase of deconfinement

Tuesday June 2 is a sign of a new phase for France in a period of deconfinement. Little reminder of what you need to know about reopenings.

After more than two months of closure, emblematic places of life in society reopen. But we must remember the sentence of Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, last Thursday: "Liberty is once again the rule and prohibition is the exception".

Thus, a decree, published Monday at Official newspaper, recalls the new rules and provisions taken from this Tuesday, reports AFP.

"An almost normal life"

– The 100 kilometer rule is lifted for any trip to mainland France.

– Large reopening of cafes, bars and restaurants in the green zone, with a separation of one meter between the tables and a limit of 10 people per table.

– For those in the orange zone, the reception of the public in these establishments is only possible on the terrace. In Paris, the town hall announced that they could extend for free on part of the public space, sidewalks, parking spaces or even a few streets closed to traffic, according to an AFP press release.

– Weddings can be done again.

– All of the country's beaches can reopen. However, it is up to the mayors to decide the conditions of access to the beaches of their city (dynamic, static or limited …).

– All the colleges, schools and crèches reopen their doors, as well as the lycées of the departments classified green, but in a progressive manner, which means that all the pupils will not resume from this Tuesday.

– Swimming pools, thermal baths and gyms can only reopen in the green zone, with very strict sanitary measures.

Always respect

– The protective mask remains imposed on “any person eleven years of age or older” on trains, planes, boats, in public transport and also in stations and airports.

– "Hygiene measures" and "social distancing" must "be observed in all places and in all circumstances".

– The mask must also be worn by “middle school and high school students when traveling” as well as for staff of establishments welcoming children. However, teachers will not have to wear it "when they are teaching and are at least one meter away from the students".

Still limited or prohibited

– Groups "in places which are not organized, which are not under the responsibility of an equipment manager, in public space for example", remain limited to 10 people until June 21.

– Traveling by plane from or to Corsica and the overseas departments and regions is prohibited, except for an “imperative reason of a personal or family order”, a health reason falling under “emergency” or a professional need that cannot be deferred.

– The practice of team sports remains prohibited.

– The nightclubs remain closed.

– The cinemas remain closed.

– The theaters remain closed.

And as of Friday, June 5, resumption of family visits in nursing homes can be done at "more than two people at a time, when it takes place outside, and up to two people in a room. Provided they wear a mask, minors can participate in these visits, which otherwise are not will do more under the supervision of a staff member".
