secrets leaked, the studio forced to intervene

Hades 2 was approached earlier than expected and for free by some lucky people via a technical test. Some, however, took the opportunity to leak sensitive data.

The leakers who were able to recover the sensitive data in question on Hades 2 necessarily shared them on the Web. The talented independent studio Supergiant Games, however, asked them to remove any compromising elements. This is to keep the surprise when the highly anticipated title is released in early access.

The gods of Hades 2 value their privacy

To say that the sequel to the independent masterpiece Hades is expected around the corner is an understatement. This was supposed to be released last year in early access, but was postponed. Supergiant Games felt they needed more time. This highly anticipated release should arrive shortly. To curb fans’ impatience, a technical test was announced a few days ago. This allows a few lucky people to play it in advance, for free.

Some took advantage of this privilege to collect sensitive data appearing in this early build of Hades 2. They then shared their precious findings on the Web. Vigilant, however, Supergiant Games intervened to ensure that these publications were deleted. The most juicy information mostly concerned elements that will be present in early access. The independent studio therefore asked leakers by private message to be patient and to keep the secret for the many fans of its latest successful license.

The Fates predicted it

Supergiant Games seems to have prepared some great things for fans in Hades 2. According to him, it would therefore be a shame to spoil the surprise too quickly. Especially since the independent studio has assured that the elements discovered in the technical test will be present during early access. This was the latest news expected between April and June 2024. The release of the technical test therefore indicates that its deployment would arrive sooner rather than later.

Fans eager to follow Melinoë, sister of Zagreus, in her quest to free their father Hades from the clutches of the titan Chronos will therefore in principle not have long to wait. In addition to the mastered rogue-lite gameplay of the first opus, its sequel should be more complete on other points. We will also meet other deities from the Greek pantheon and ever more endearing personalities. In any case, this is what we were able to see during the presentation stream of the technical test by Supergiant Games (which you will find in its entirety below). Verdict on the occasion of very early access, for the moment only on PC, pending a full release later on PC and PlayStation/Xbox consoles.
