Securitize: a funding round led by BlackRock that is making people talk

(Boursier.com) — Securitize, a leader in the tokenization of real-world assets, announced last week the completion of a $47 million funding round led by BlackRock. “The strategic investment also includes funds from Hamilton Lane, ParaFi Capital and Tradeweb Markets,” the statement said. As part of this investment, Joseph Chalom, Global Head of Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships at BlackRock, has been appointed to the Securitize Board of Directors.

Securitize recently became known following the launch of a new fund by Blackrock, BUIDL (BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund), tokenized on the Ethereum blockchain, recalls Simon Peters, market analyst at eToro for whom “the new cycle of funding, as well as Blackrock’s continued involvement and collaboration with Securitize, once again highlights the world’s largest asset manager’s commitment to the tokenization of real-world assets.”
