See you on June 30, 2022 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Intended exclusively for owners of monster hunter rise just like Iceborne was only for players of Monster Hunter World, Sunbreak will therefore be available in less than 4 months on Switch and Steam. Capcom’s show began with the release of a new trailer after which the famous release date appeared. The program then returned in more depth to the content of this extension, which will notably unlock the new rank of Master hunter. Note that it is necessary to complete the 7★ quest “Thunder Serpent Goddess” to access Sunbreak content.

After the village of Kamura and its strong Japanese inspiration, Sunbreak takes the direction of a distant land evoking more medieval Europe. A change of scenery embodied by a new outpost full of life, Elgado, and its characters such as Lady Fiorayne, Admiral Galleus, the scientist Bahari, the blacksmith Minayle, the merchant Oboro or even the quest provider Chichae. So many allies who will help hunters to make new equipment but also to learn new Filoptera techniques which will be revealed later.

The threat hanging over this western kingdom is embodied by the Three Lords, a trio that includes the icy Lunagaron, the Elder Dragon Malzeno but also the brand new Garangolm, a rocky mastodon that we discover for the occasion and whose attacks mix fire and water when enraged. Add to that the return of old monsters that will make their appearance in new variants, such as Bishaten Orange and Astalos Boosted. So many threats that we will encounter in the new regions of this extension, among which is the Citadel, with its ruined fortifications, its luxuriant forests and its snowy peaks.

The program also includes a segment for players of monster hunter rise. “The powerful collection of Defender weapons feature high attack power to help players progress through early missions, and can be paired with Black Belt Armor and Veteran’s Talisman to enhance survivability and some useful skills“, we are told. In addition, a 13 GB update will be available on June 30 and will be necessary to install Sunbreak or even to continue playing online. Those who do not plan to get the extension will still benefit from weapon balancing, item packs and character creation coupons.
