Sega opens a subsidiary in Singapore to conquer Southeast Asia

The Southeast Asian territories, which include Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia, already know the color of the Sega and Atlus games that are distributed in these territories through Sega Asia. The birth of Sega Singapore should, however, make it possible to better target marketing in these countries and perhaps give rise to new locations, like Bandai Namco, which also has offices in Singapore and recently announced support Thai and Indonesian for titles like One Piece Odyssey.

SEGA has established publishing bases and development studios around the world, producing games and launching related businesses tailored to local markets. SEGA Singapore will undertake market research and localized marketing to strengthen SEGA’s initiatives in the Southeast Asian market, which is expected to experience significant growth in the future.

Singapore has experienced remarkable economic growth as a major hub in the Southeast Asian region, thanks to its advantageous geographical location and business-friendly government policies. By establishing SEGA Singapore as a key base to lead future operations in Southeast Asia, we will continue to prepare and study the establishment of other business operations in the region and strive to provide Japanese content to more people in the world“, explains the press release.
