The change in the economic model of the sector with free-to-play and Season Pass was also mentioned, as well as the question of remastersremakes and reboots, with among the old IPs listed Crazy Taxi and Jet-Set Radio. Well, it could be that they come back in force since Bloomberg reports an interesting rumor.
In effect, according to Takashi Mochizuki, several sources having knowledge of the plans of SEGA make mention of reboots of Crazy Taxi and Jet-Set Radio big budgetwith the objective of making them successes worthy of Fortnite. Yes, the gameEpic Games is a real model in terms of recurring revenue, presence on multiple platforms and online community, which is emulated by the competition. The publisher would therefore like these first two games of the initiative Great Game follow this path.
Thereby, new Crazy Taxi evoked by this rumor would be in development for more than a year and should see the light of day within two to three years, as much to say that the formalization is not for immediately if the project turns out. The latter and a Jet-Set Radio unreleased would therefore be in the early stages of their creation and could be canceled.
