The victim was found dead at her home on Saturday around 8:30 a.m., after a “probable evening” at home which would have resulted in significant consumption of alcohol and drugs. The investigation is entrusted to the Meaux judicial police.

A 24-year-old young woman was shot and killed on Saturday morning at her home in Croissy-Beaubourg (Seine-et-Marne), the Meaux prosecutor’s office said on Monday, confirming information from the newspaper Le Parisien.

“She lived with a roommate who is currently in police custody,” Meaux prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier told AFP, referring to a “possible link with drug trafficking.” Three other police custody orders issued this weekend were lifted.

The victim was found dead at her home on Saturday around 8:30 a.m., after a “probable evening” at home which would have given rise to significant consumption of alcohol and narcotics, reported the representative of the public prosecutor’s office.

The victim was killed by at least one gunshot to the head, the exact number of projectiles still to be determined by the autopsy. No weapon having been found on site, the theory of suicide is ruled out.

The investigation is entrusted to the Meaux judicial police.
