The Autonomous Paris Transport Authority (RATP) told the site Actu.fr that “the driver immediately notified the command post to alert the police”. “According to the latest information the bus was stolen while the colleague was on his break”, said the bus driver behind the Busdrivers95 Twitter account. The latter, who is used to sharing slices of life from his daily life as a bus driver, posted on the social network photos showing the tragic end of this story. Indeed, it only took ten minutes to the thief for having an accident. Unaware of the height of the machine, he stuck it in a tunnel.

However, as stated The Parisian, signs indicate before the tunnel that access is prohibited for vehicles over 2.50 m. This bus theft caused no injuries but the perpetrator vanished. The RATP has filed a complaint and a police investigation is underway to find him. “Bus monitoring devices will shed light on this theft”, the group said. An internal investigation was also opened.
