Selena Gomez posted an Instagram picture showing her in a bathing suit. It deliberately allows a clear view of a scar.
Selena Gomez (28, "Revival") made a bold statement on Instagram. On a photo of her posing in a turquoise swimsuit next to a pool, she wrote: "After my kidney transplant, it was very difficult for me to show my scar. I didn't want it to be seen in photos, so I moved always something about it. " Now she feels "more confident than ever before" and likes herself for who she is. "I feel good about what I have experienced and am proud of it. All bodies are beautiful."
The photo clearly shows the scar on the inside of the right thigh. Gomez's tattoo on the left thigh can also be seen. The black and white picture shows praying hands and a rosary. The singer suffers from the autoimmune disease lupus and has since withdrawn from the public after receiving a kidney donation from her best friend Francia Raisa (32) in 2017. In 2020 she returned with the album "Rare".
