Selma Blair: actress gives tips for dealing with worse diagnosis

The fear of being infected with the corona virus affects many people around the world. And those who actually contract Covid-19 may not know how to deal with it. For all these people, Selma Blair (47, "Ice Cold Angels") has good advice. The actress was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in summer 2018 and knows how to get positive thoughts despite a difficult diagnosis of the disease.

MS is an autoimmune, chronic inflammatory, neurological disease. This makes it difficult for her to leave the house or even speak, said Blair on Miley Cyrus' Instagram talk show (27). "I've actually been in social isolation for around two years."

"This is our Woodstock"

The mother of an eight-year-old son believes that this is also something for itself. "It is an incredible time for me. I am at home with my son and enjoy it. This is our Woodstock." She hopes that other people can also benefit from this crisis. "Negative thoughts have never helped me in my whole life," sums up the 47-year-old.

Her MS diagnosis had taken away a lot from her – for example, she could no longer ride and had difficulty speaking – but she had learned less to worry about: "There is actually nothing I am really upset about," reveals Blair talking to Cyrus. "All we have is this moment. Take this opportunity to be the best version of yourself."
