Sensationally light and compact: Vello announces a multi-seater e-cargo bike with a long range

We have already reported several times about the Austrian company Vello. For example in connection with the lightest folding e-bike (9.9 kilograms) made of titanium. Now the manufacturer has announced an e-cargo bike called SUB. Here, too, the focus is on the lowest possible weight.

The cargo bike with an electric motor, called the SUB, is said to weigh just 24 kilograms. In the field of cargo bikes, this is a very low value that only “normal” e-bikes normally offer. But in contrast to these, the Vello SUB wants to score with a high payload of up to 210 kilograms. Even more!

Like other compact cargo bikes, such as from Tern, you can upgrade the Vello Bike with numerous accessories. For example, there is a child seat with space for two children. In general, there is room for two adults on the Vello SUB. A massive front luggage rack and other luggage solutions will also be available as accessories.

The e-cargo bike is powered by a Bosch motor. Thanks to the double battery, the range should be a very good 250 kilometers. However, no further details on the technology used are known.
