September 2023 PS Plus games are available, but it’s clearly not madness. A failed comeback for Sony?
It’s early September and the new PS Plus games are coming today. If usually Sony delights its subscribers with rather popular and very solid games, this month is a disappointment. During their announcements, the September PS Plus games clearly did not meet with unanimous approval. Despite the presence of strong licenses, it does not please the majority of subscribers, and we cannot blame them too much. This is all the more true since, in the process, Sony announced the increase in the prices of its subscriptions. Coquettish.
September’s PS Plus games are here, and it’s not madness
This month, three games are offered in the PlayStation Plus program. As usual, it will be necessary to be subscribed to one of the formulas of the service to be able to take advantage of these games. You can then add them to your library and enjoy them whenever you want as long as you have an active subscription. For September 2023, three titles will therefore be added to your collection.
We start with the reboot of Saints Row, the open world signed Volition. The game clearly did not live up to expectations and did not know how to take the boulevard offered to it before the arrival of the GTA 6 juggernaut. Saints Row is ultimately a fairly average game that did not know how to find its audience, which also condemned the Volition studio which closed its doors just a few days ago. Still open world, Generation Zero is also a fairly average game developed by Avalanche, however. The game immerses us in Sweden in the 80s after a robotic apocalypse. The machines have indeed taken control of the country by decimating the population with all their might. If its pitch is nice and its environments rather successful, the rest unfortunately does not really hold water, too bad, especially since the game is playable in cooperation up to 4. Finally, it is the MMO Black Desert, which ‘we don’t even have to present it anymore, which comes with its Traveler Edition which includes some in-game bonuses. A rather solid title, however, but which will only speak to a niche of players unfortunately.
These three games are recoverable from this Tuesday, September 5 and this until October 2.
