A paragliding flight at the Heulantsch on the Teichalm (Weiz district) ended fatally. The 20-year-old athlete fell shortly after take-off on Thursday afternoon and was seriously injured.
Just a few meters after take-off, the flight was over again: The 20-year-old paraglider from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district began a flight maneuver, lost control of his glider and fell into the depths. He was taken to the hospital in the rescue helicopter. He crashed hit the ground and was seriously injured. Bystanders notified the emergency services and provided first aid. The 20-year-old had to be flown with the Christophorus 17 rescue helicopter from Graz UKH.
