A tragic accident occurred in Bad Gams on Monday afternoon: a 9-year-old student was hit by a car while crossing the street and seriously injured. He had to be flown to the children’s surgery in Graz.
The nine-year-old wasn’t the only child to get off the bus at the stop on the L643 on Monday afternoon. The boy walked around the bus and wanted to cross the street. Just at that time a car driver came down the street. The 55-year-old probably noticed the student too late and couldn’t brake in time. The boy was hit by the car and thrown to the ground. The nine-year-old was seriously injured. After receiving first aid from the Red Cross, he was flown to the children’s surgery in Graz in a rescue helicopter.
