Seriously injured – Two girls hit a tractor with a moped

On a sunny Sunday, there were several serious traffic accidents involving two-wheelers in Upper Austria. Two girls in Gaspoltshofen were hit the hardest and a biker in Haibach ob der Donau had their guardian angels by their side.

Two seriously injured young people claimed a traffic accident on Sunday around 4.10 p.m. in the municipality of Gaspoltshofen. A 25-year-old was driving his tractor and stopped at an intersection because of the “Give way” traffic sign. He then started his vehicle again. At the same time, from his point of view, a 15-year-old came to the intersection on her moped from the left. There was a right-angled collision. The 15-year-old and her 14-year-old passenger fell and were seriously injured on the side of the road. The 14-year-old was flown to the Kepler University Hospital with the rescue helicopter and the moped driver was brought to the Wels-Grieskirchen Hospital by rescue. Here three cars and a motorcycle were driving in a row on the B 130 when the first car turned right. The two following cars were able to brake in time and prevent a collision with the vehicles in front of them. The 58-year-old motorcyclist, who was fourth in the column, crashed into the rear of the car in front of him. The motorcyclist was injured. Coincidentally, some Red Cross workers who were on their way home from a training session came to the scene of the accident. They immediately provided professional first aid. After first aid, the injured person was flown to the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic with the emergency doctor helicopter.
