“We were alerted just before 12 p.m.,” says Andreas Eder, local manager of the Mayrhofen mountain rescue service. A Zillertal mountaineer duo wanted to climb from the Plauener Hütte over the Zillergrund to the Reichenspitze on the border with Salzburg.
