Launched with the idea of ​​competing with the Mac Mini, the NUCs have since discovered new ambitions. Thus, Intel decided to make gaming machines out of them… an ideal outlet for the Arc Alchemist cards!

Core i7-12700H CPU and Arc Alchemist 770M GPU

Indeed, the latest generation of Intel NUCs, the Serpent Canyon, let themselves be approached, and our colleagues from Videocardz disseminate some shots and various technical details.

We learn in particular that the future Serpent Canyon is designed around a Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores supported by an Arc A770M graphics card: a duo which therefore replaces the Core i7-1165G7 (4 cores) and the GeForce RTX 2060 of the Phantom Canyon model.

The graphics card is therefore designed by Intel itself and this A770M version is distinguished by the presence of 32 Xe-Cores as well as 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory. Officially, this GPU has a TGP between 120 and 150 Watts, but Intel has not detailed this aspect of the NUC.

The Serpent Canyon’s connectivity is quite complete with an SDXC card reader, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-A 3.2 connector and an audio jack on the front; four USB-A ports, a 2.5 GbE RJ45, a Thunderbolt 4 port as well as a DisplayPort and an HDMI port on the back.

Beyond this technical information, we have no details to give you as to the release schedule envisaged by Intel or the price of this NUC Serpent Canyon. To be continued…
