After increased interest due to the Ukraine war: Arte shows seasons two and three of “Servant of the People” with Volodymyr Zelenskyj.
Arte also shows seasons two and three of “Diener des Volkes”. From May 27, 2022, the series with the later Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj (44) will be available in the Arte media library. The German-French broadcaster announced this on Monday.
From 2015 to 2019 Volodymyr Zelenskyj played the history teacher Wassyl Holoborodko, who was surprisingly elected President of Ukraine. The series made Selenskyj a star. Her popularity was instrumental in the comedian and actor being elected head of state of Ukraine in real life in May 2019. The third season started there shortly before the hot phase of the presidential election campaign.
Increased interest due to the war in Ukraine
The first season of “Diener des Volkes” ran in Germany from November 19, 2021 in the media libraries of ARD, Arte and ZDF. The Russian attack on Ukraine in February increased interest in the series in Germany. Arte heaved the first season into his television program. It will run in media libraries until May 18, 2022.
The second and third seasons are available in the Arte media library until December 31, 2022. As with the first season, the episodes are available in the original language with German subtitles.
