In the 6th home game, GC braced itself against the 1st defeat. Above all, one person did not want to come to terms with the looming Geneva success: Hayao Kawabe. In the 67th minute, the Japanese first scored the lucky goal to make it 2-1 after Francis Momoh hit an air hole beforehand. And then 5 pointer turns later, the GC midfield engine was lucky again when it caught Servette’s keeper Jérémy Frick from a tight angle between the legs.
But the rebellion went unrewarded. Another 5 minutes later, Patrick Plücke was happy about the decision on the other side. The German, who came on after half an hour to replace the injured Alexis Antunes, pushed in to make it 3-2 after a commotion in the GC penalty area. Goalie Justin Hammel was initially unable to hold the ball and then unhappily deflected it in front of Noah Loosli, who was ready to clear the line.
GC more compelling at the beginning

After an inadequate defense by Li Lei, the 24-year-old scored from a distance (56′). With a penalty, which he had taken out himself, he put Servette on the road to victory (60th).
Alain Geiger’s team has reduced the gap to leader YB to 5 points again, while GC remains in the lower midfield of the table.
