Service order in Upper Austria – doctor’s talk for unvaccinated staff in homes

As of Thursday, 181 employees and 107 residents in 65 Upper Austrian retirement and nursing homes tested positive for Covid-19. Two employees and 13 residents have to be treated in the hospital. The numbers would show that the vaccination is working, said Hattmannsdorfer. Nevertheless, the vaccination coverage for staff is only 63.4 percent. Therefore, he wants to start with the employees. In order to reduce reservations about a vaccination, every unvaccinated person has to go to a personal consultation with a doctor. This is an order from the employer, clarified the regional council. However, only participation is required and not vaccination. Vaccination consultation days are being introduced for residents – 82.6 percent of whom are immunized – and relatives.
