SES appoints Adel Al-Saleh as chief executive

(Boursier.com) — HIS announced the appointment of Adel Al-Saleh as Managing Director of the company, effective February 2024. Since January 2018, Al-Saleh has been CEO of T-Systems International GmbH, an integrated IT services provider and subsidiary of the telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom. He was a member of the DT board of directors throughout this period. During his tenure at T-Systems, Al-Saleh led the transition from a traditional information technology and outsourcing company to an integrated IT services and digital solutions provider, while leading growth initiatives for optimize operations, improve efficiency, increase customer satisfaction, increase employee engagement and maximize profitability, details SES.

Ruy Pinto, interim CEO of SES, who served as SES Chief Technology Officer from 2019 to 2023, will continue to lead SES until January 2024, after which Pinto will remain a member of the management team until June 2024, then will assume the role of strategic advisor to the CEO. Milton Torres, who succeeded Pinto as interim CTO, will continue in this role moving forward.

Prior to joining T-Systems, Al-Saleh led a number of successful organizations. He spent nearly 20 years at IBM in several management positions. In 2007, Al-Saleh joined IMS Health as EMEA president and was eventually named the company’s U.S. president.
