If you bought a Steam Deck, you want to set up the handheld for sure. These are the first steps.

Setting up Steam Deck is easy. Connect the power cord to the handheld and turn on the device.
Now you choose the language, your time zone and choose the WiFi network that gives you access to the Internet and Steam.

Then all you have to do is log in with your existing Steam account and after a few moments you will be able to access Steam and your library. Now you can download the games you want to play.
But before you start downloading and playing games, you should first check for newer system updates. To do this, press the Steam button, navigate to “System” and then run the update if available. Then a newer patch should eliminate possible errors (“bugs”).
