Google is said to be actively working to make its settings menus more readable, especially with regard to its Assistant. Scrolling around looking for a setting in the Google app shouldn’t be a daunting or frustrating task, and customizing your Assistant might seem more complicated than it is because of a list of settings. which keeps growing. But Google intends to fix it.

A plethora of hard-to-find options

As it stands, the settings to adjust how the Google Assistant works are all laid out in one alphabetically organized list, and it can be difficult to find a specific setting there unless you browse one by one. all available settings below. This lack of categorization has so far left the user in the dark, but according to 9to5Google, Google is currently preparing to classify all these settings in a more readable way.

More readable storage

This is a very simple change, but quite effective. Google will use new sub-categories here in which it can now store the settings of its Assistant via 3 distinct categories:

  • Customize your Assistant (Customize your Assistant)
  • Get things done (Complete tasks)
  • Manage apps and services (Manage apps and services)

This makes everything a little more manageable. The category “Customize your Assistantwill host all the settings related to your experience with the Assistant. For its part, the categoryManage apps and serviceswill manage the relationship between your assistants and other applications or services. Some options are also seeing their name change to become more understandable and new ones are appearing to bring some of them together under the same name. No date for this change is yet known, but the arrival of this new menu should in the long run make it easier to find the various settings hidden in the Google Assistant settings and should probably save some headaches for some. .
