- Vladimir Putin will not be visiting the UN General Assembly in September. The Russian president, against whom the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant, signed a decree on the composition of the Russian delegation which will be led in his place by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov.

- Russia announced on Friday that it was sanctioning the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan., who had issued an arrest warrant against Vladimir Putin in mid-March, as well as British ministers and journalists.
